Within each of us are dark places,
caverns of pain and loss
of fear and insecurity,
where we cautiously explore
the depths of our burrows;
making mysteries intelligible
and our secrets known,
by bringing each artifact
into the light of day
and illuminating a complete
diorama of ourselves.
Thereby filling our galleries
with reclaimed thoughts:
our museum of antiquities
our menagerie of memory.
