Her castle, impregnable.
Her moat most immense.
Her gates adamantine.
A brilliant defense.
Against friend or foe,
ally or invader,
her walls were too thick
for most to betray her.
Yet I walked right by,
past all her guards,
over her drawbridge,
and into her heart.
While all stood agape
at what I had done.
Where they had found ice,
I found the Sun.
A Star for a Queen
ruled an impenetrable fortress,
until we melted that night
in a courtyard without torches.
